I’ve been tagged in so many ”20 things about me…’ posts on Instagram, but have never got round to doing one.

So…

  1. My name is Siân
  2. I’m a thirty-something Mum from just outside London. When i say ‘just’ I mean 25 minutes by direct train. On a good day.
  3. I started my Instagram-blog-type-thingy because I was bored with what I was wearing every day
  4. I wanted to challenge myself and ‘find my style’
  5. I called it ‘Bretons and Blue Jeans’ because that’s all I seemed to wear
  6. I called it my #MumUniform
  7. 18 months down the line I’ve realised my style IS breton tops and jeans
  8. Okay, it’s taken me 18 months to realise I’m too lazy/tired/busy to wear anything else
  9. And that’s okay
  10. I’m learning to embrace the #MumUniform
  11. This blog is to celebrate it
  12. I hate the suggestion that ‘dressing like a Mum’ is a bad thing
  13. I’m a Mum
  14. And I get dressed
  15. So… I dress like a Mum
  16. What does that even mean anyway.
  17. Where was I?
  18. Oh yes, me. My diverse work background is 9 years IT/Events Marketing, and 10 years of fashion retail and Visual merchandising.
  19. I still bore my husband to tears with talk of window displays, merchandising, refund policies…
  20. I’ve never EVER watched Strictly Come Dancing. I feel it’s important to be upfront about these things.
  21. I love a bit of sarcasm, white wine, my family, tasteless jokes, all the swears and am crap at getting anywhere on time.
  22. This list was meant to stop at 20.
